A little late

I finally finished it. Now I just have to get it quilted and do the binding. But I think it turned out really good. Just don't look too close. And you know Rocco, anytime I put something on the floor he thinks I put it there just for him. He's so HAIRY! I got his haircut this weekend and he looks like such a huge dork. But at least he's much cleaner.

I've been listening to Say Hi all day today and I love how every song is completely different. I really like the sound of the song, "oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh". Gooood! Thanks for being my music lady. You are the BEST-ie!

The secret life of Ben + Music

So I went to this show the other day to see the band Ladyhawke. It was free which was an added bonus because there were other bands playing that we had to sit through. Well there was a band playing after ladyhawke and so Jeff said that we should just wait to see what they are like, it was free so what the heck. Well the last band was Semi Precious Weapons. Tell me who you think that guy looks like. I couldn't believe it. Here are some from the show that I took but you can't see it as well. He had a totally sweet outfit on as well. It was kind of like he was in drag but not all of the way. The band was really hardcore though. I couldn't figure it out. They were really entertaining to watch.

Oh one more thing. Some guy threw ice on the lead singer and he got so mad. He hit the guy on the head with the mic and then was acting like he wanted to fight the guy. Overall a good time.

Ok so here is some music that is overdue. The first is the new Regina Spektor. It is pretty good. Classic Regina. The other is a band called Say Hi. I really love this one alot. I come back to it at times because it draws me in. Ok I have the say that the last one if one of favorite albums ever. Every time I listen to it I love it more and more. It is by the band Elbow. Wow it is just genius. I do hope you like it. Well I hope you like all of them.

I still need to post some pics of when I was up there. It was good times and I am really glad we got to hang out. So I still haven't found a job and am not doing much doing the days. There are not too many days left of good bike riding, which is sad. There is just nothing like going on a long ride and listening to music. Man I feel so good when I do that. It makes me happy. I think that is all. What are you up to? You need to post stuff.

I forgot

You know how when are haven't been around someone for a while and then you see them again and it is really fun to be around them. It is almost like you forgot how fun it was to hang out with them. I think that happened to me this weekend. I always knew we had good times but it isn't the same when you aren't together very often. Ya know what I mean. So here are some pictures of our time together. Well mostly of you and Rich. Ok all of you and Rich. It was fun to be around him again too. I think he might be a keeper :) I had a good flight home but am sad here all by myself. I wish that you were coming for Matt and Kim but it is ok, I guess.

Oh yeah and the more I think about those cupcakes the more I am disappointed with them. They really weren't that good. Now I have to find good cupcakes here to make up for it. I will let you know how it goes.

My mom just got a new puppy and he's just a little bundle full of energy! SO MUCH FUN!! Rocco and I were both so excited to play with the little guy!


Oh my gosh! He's just so darn cute!

I'm not the biggest fan of his name. It's Kalani Henry (?!?!??!). I tried to get mom to name him Kirby but since she didn't like that name for my dog, I had a fat chance of trying to get her to name her own dog that. But few things make me happier than playing with a new little puppy. (Except hanging out with you of course!)

How was your flight home by the way? It was so much fun seeing you. I loved that grapefruit cupcake. MMMM! Too bad we didn't take any pictures we could post on our blog... (hint, hint!)

Hello Again

Here are some pictures from my trip to Texas. The first one is when Pratt got a bee sting and Audrey said he should put mud on it. The one of me, Pratt actually took. It was good times. The last one is Mabel in San Antonio and Megan is pouring water on her. She loved it. I can show you more later but this is it for now.

Vintage Theater

I went to Denver last weekend, you know... and I found that there is a "Vintage Theater" where they play old movies. I remember that you wanted to start watching old movies and what better place to watch them than on the BIG SCREEN?!?

Your pictures of the fireworks were pretty sweet! I wish I could've seen the MJ fireworks. That sounds awesome!

Fireworks

I just wanted to share the fireworks I have seen lately, since I haven't posted anything forever. The first is on the 4th in Laughlin and the other is at the Diamondbacks game we went to a couple of weeks ago. The fireworks at the game were to the music of michael jackson. Pretty sweet. I wanted to show you some pics I took for my class but they were being dumb so maybe next time.

Kim, you said that we should post something EVERYDAY! HAHAHAHAHAHA! That sure was funny of you! But I was looking through my pictures when I should be sleeping and found this one. And it made me remember how much I love Disneyland and how much I love spending time with you and I think we should definitely think of doing it again. MMMMMK? This picture also made me remember how much I love that pink hoodie! Way to go H&M!

Food

Ok well you asked for it. I am giving you pictures of the food that I made the other day. It was the birthday of one of my friends from work. She wanted Italian so I looked up a recipe in my Giada cook book. These looked the best to me. 

We started with a salad. I think that it was called Spinach Salad with Citrus Vinaigrette. The salad was ok. I didn't love it or anything.

Then we ate Baked Penne with Roasted Vegetables. It was pretty delicious. The smoked mozzarella made all of the difference in it. 

Ok then we also had pizza. Really only for one reason and that is because we had left over dough. Jeff has become a master at making pizza and it is always so delicious. Well he made the dough but I made this pizza and it wasn't as good. It was just a margarita pizza but it was decent I suppose. I used some of the smoke mozzarella on it and that was good. 

I can pass on the recipes if you would like but I am feeling too lazy to put them on here right now. I just found a link for the pasta So I did something a little crazy today. I went to the community college an signed up for photography class. It is only for the month of june so it is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6 to9:30. That is a lot of time but I think it will be good. It will push me to use my camera more and learn how to use it. Ok I also want to give you some music so I will have to post that later. Good stuff.

I LOVED the movie we saw! I thought that the "imax" was kinda lame, but it was still super duper fun! I was sad today when I realized you probably left LV without even telling me bye. :( But I'll forgive you for 2 reasons... 1) You will someday be a mother and it is mother's day today 2) You are are a really great friend for coming to my graduation and then out to lunch with us. That was just so NICE of you!! Oh, I love the picture you posted on here. You are quick at that! That was less than 2 days ago. You're the best! Ok, I have to go to bed now. Since I have tons to do now that I have no job and no school, it's hard for me to stay up late anymore.

Yeah, me too!

Kim, what did you decide on the scootie? I liked the burnt orange color so much I just painted our kitchen that color. And I love it! LOVE IT!

A little help

Ok so I needs some help with color. These are the three I think I am choosing from. Now you have to keep in mind that the sides and the front fender will still be chromed. So you need to also pick something that will look good with the chrome. Let me know what you think because I really need some help. You know how I am with decision. 

The Presidents Dog

I saw this article today about the president getting a new dog. Well I saw the picture and that dog looks really familiar. Don't ya think? It is portuguese water dog or something but I think they are wrong. We have a good friend who looks like that and he is not that kind of dog.

Also, why have you been ignoring me for so long? Are we still friends? I will be down this weekend if you want to hang out.

Ok I think that I might have figured this out. I spent forever trying to get the links in this post. So here is some of the music I wanted to share with you. Both are pretty mellow but you know I dig that kind of stuff. The first is Jose Gonzalez The song I really love is Heartbeats but it is all pretty good stuff.
The next is Slow Runner. You need to first listen to Trying to Put your heart back together and Love and Doubt. Sooo good. Ok I think that might be all for now. Get these while the getting is good. Download them so you can listen on your trip. How was Disneyland?

Broadway

So I think I told you that Meg and I went to go see Chicago in NYC. Well we didn't have a ton of options because we went on Monday and that is the dark day for most plays. I wish we could have know because we could have gone to see this.  Do you recognize that person? It would have been awesome but....oh well. Although I don't love guys and dolls, remember.

Studying is the pits!!

Kim, I spent a long time today trying to study and it's killing me!! I am so overwhelmed by all this stuff I have to remember! My fingers are swollen from typing ALL FREAKING DAY! I saw some clients today and it ended up taking so long...

But on a positive note, I LOVE THE PICTURE YOU PUT ON OUR BLOG!!! It looks like me and Matt Costa are "besties". And that's almost as good as me and you being besties. How did you do that BTW? I'm still trying to learn all this blogging stuff. And I like the new color! Much funner!

Also, I am in love with a band called The Weakerthans. I got introduced to them, thanks to my Pandora channel. You should seriously check them out.

I LOVE riding my new bike. And I'm really excited for when I come visit you in Flagstaff because we are going to go on a super long ride, huh!! I am ready to try my bike on a country road for the first time. These city roads are not very scenic at all!

Ok, I'm going to veg out and watch Buffy until I fall asleep.

So, my comps are on the 3rd of April. But they are super early in the morning so I'm thinking that would be the PERFECT time for us to bike our little hearts out! I went for my first bike ride in the big city and it was a success! It got a little scary when the bike lane ended at the District and I had to ride in that CRAZY traffic... but I made it safe and sound. I'm super excited to go with you now... and I feel a little more prepared.

I think you should get a MAC. They are super trendy... just like you! Plus, who cares about expensive?? You are Jeff and crazy rich!! (so funny that you just told ALL our readers I'm sure we have some... that you are hormonal! I lol'd at that!) And they are apple and so is you ipods so they will be bff's. Just like us! (but not really because we are bff&e's and I don't know if electronic devices can have those?)

I just don't know

What should I do Misty. I don't know what computer to get. I have really wanted to get a MAC but they are so expensive. Why am I wanting to get one anyway? What are my motivations? Couldn't I happy with a PC? I feel like I am having a crisis right now. It could be that I am a little hormonal right now, though.

I was so happy that we go to party this weekend but still soooooo sad about Matt and Kim and the stupid House of Blues. I will get over it eventually. Which means that you do need to come and visit me. I thought your test was the first weekend in April but you are talking to Danielle about coming here that weekend. I am not complaining because I want you to come anytime but I am just asking. It would be really fun to take our bike to Sedona. It is warmer there so I doesn't matter the weekend you come because it will always be better weather there.
